This Kilburn Ladies 2024/25 Season Review tells a story unlike any other in recent memory. While past years often saw a "we barely scraped a team together" attitude, this season, however, was a triumph of teamwork. It was also a turning point for the club. Consequently, we had our most successful season to date, and the positive changes are here to stay.

The Kilburn Ladies 2024/25 Season: The Numbers

The numbers don't lie. This Kilburn Ladies 2024/25 Season Review proves we had our most successful season in years. For example, the statistics back it up:

  • Walkovers are a thing of the past: For the first time since COVID, we didn’t give a single walkover. In addition, we fielded 15 players for all but one game. This is a huge win and a testament to the dedication of our players and the success of our recruitment efforts.
  • Defense was a fortress: We conceded less than half the points from last season. Therefore, our defense was tight and unyielding.
  • Offense was on fire: We scored a try in every single game. This, in turn, showcased our consistent threat on the pitch.
  • The magic number: We finished the season with a positive points difference for the first time in a decade. Although it may only be 1, it still counts for everything.

Our league standings reflected this success. The team had a fantastic year, finishing strong in our division of the Women's National Challenge.

Awards and Achievements of the Season

We didn't just measure our success in wins and losses. In fact, this Kilburn Ladies 2024/25 Season Review would be incomplete without celebrating our camaraderie and individual achievements. For instance, we proudly celebrated two cap achievements: Jemma Bailey with 25 caps and Cerys Bradley with 50 caps.

We also recognized the following players for their outstanding contributions:

  • Best Newcomer: Carla. She threw herself into the team with incredible energy and skill, and she quickly became a key player in the center.
  • Most Improved: Beth. Her dedication to improving her game was inspiring, which led to significant contributions in every match.
  • Players' Player: Cerys Bradley. Her commitment, deep understanding of the game, and unwavering positivity made her a true leader and a fan favorite.

Ultimately, this season was about more than just rugby; it was about building a community. From our new clubhouse renovations to our legendary post-match socials, we proved that we have just as much fun losing as we do winning. As a result, "Strength through unity" isn't just a motto; it's the spirit of the Kilburn Ladies.
