Kilburn Cosmos have two regular senior men’s teams, with the 1st XV playing in London 3 North West (making Kilburn a level 8 club), the club is relatively young but has progressed through the leagues well in the last decade. The last three seasons have seen the club remain highly competitive at level 8 with 9th, 6th and 5th finishes.

Since establishment in 1996 KCRFC senior men’s section has enjoyed playing free flowing rugby, the club is looking for a head coach who can continue the development of the senior men’s section and facilitate a brand of rugby that is both enjoyable to play and watch. For a relatively young London club the junior and men’s sections have performed admirably in developing its own youth, 5 players in the 18/19 season (playing regularly) progressed through the clubs junior section. The club is walking distance from zone 2 public transport, enjoys its own club house and also has a large recruitment catchment for a central London club (being the only club in the borough of Brent).

The correct candidate would be:

  • RFU (or equivalent) coaching qualified to Level 2 (or a broad experience base with the desire to progress and obtain level 2 qualifications);
  • Driven,  with a key focus on the development of skill, game awareness and fitness of the clubs senior men’s players and teams;
  • Enthusiastic about a young club situated in London who are still in growth mode;
  • Committed to one training session a week and Saturday games; and
  • Provide a friendly inclusive space for all levels of players to be able to enjoy watching and playing rugby.

For the correct coach this is a paid position, the club is also willing to support in achieving RFU Coaching and or Refereeing Awards and CPD courses.
